Saint Peter's Basilica and Dome Tour
The Basilica was built on the tomb of the apostle Peter and is the center of the Catholic church. It is one of the grandest and beautiful temples on earth. The greatest architects of Italian renaissance contributed to its construction: Bernini, Michelangelo, Raphael, Bramante and many others.
On this tour we will spend approximately two hours in the church visiting each chapel and its treasures, the tombs of John Paul II and John XXIII, Michelangelo's Pietà, which is the only work signed by the artist and much more.
You will see the place where the remains of St. Peter rest, the chimney where the smoke comes out after the Pope's election, the monuments to the Stuarts family, to the queen Christine of Sweden.
We will go to the chapel where some privileged couples get married, we will caress the feet of a 700 years old statue of St. Peter and touch the holy door as any Catholi pilgrim does.
We will be honored to be your guide in one of the most spectacular places on earth!
