    Standard three-hour tours rarely allow enough time for a comprehensive visit of the Vatican, and art and history lovers deserve more. This full-day experience is designed for guests who want to see the museums properly, in the company of a licensed official guide.

    Most tours skip the painting gallery, where works by Caravaggio, Leonardo, Raphael, Giotto, and Beato Angelico are on display, and they leave no room for the Vatican Library with its Renaissance frescoes or for the Egyptian Museum, home to one of the best-preserved mummies in the world.

    On this full-day itinerary guests also see the landmarks of the standard Vatican visit: the Sistine Chapel, the Basilica of St. Peter, and the Raphael Rooms.

    Lunch is possible inside the museums, where a wide variety of food is available, and transfers with a private driver can be arranged on request. We keep the visit slow-paced, informative, and personal, with time to enjoy each room.
